How Do I... Make An Appointment?

Appointments can be made by telephoning 01704 534137 or 531114 after 8.00am Monday to Friday or by calling at the surgery during opening hours. Routine appointments can be booked well in advance thereby enabling us to offer you an appointment suitable to your requirements. Alternatively, they can be booked on the day on a first come, first served basis.

Please remember an appointment gives the doictor time to deal with one person and one problem. If you feel your problem(s) need extra time, please mention this to the receptionist and you will be given an appropriate appointment.

If you cannot keep an appointment please inform us as soon as possible so that your appointment can be offered to somebody else.

How Do I... Obtain A Home Visit?

It is important that you telephone the surgery before 10.00am if a visit is requested for that day. Only emergency visits can be arranged after that time. Please give the receptionist as much information as possible to enable the doctor to allocate priority to house calls.

Remember home visits are available only to the housebound or people so incapacitated they cannot be brought to the surgery. Please remember, in the time taken for a house call, several patients can be seen at the surgery. The final decision about the suitability for a home visit rests with the doctor. We are unable to advise on the time the doctor will visit so please tell the receptionist if you feel the visit will not wait.

Care At The Chemist

Please be aware that local pharmacists participate in the 'Care at the Chemist' scheme where you can register and obtain advice and treatment for minor ailments. If you are exempt from prescription charges you will not have to pay for items recommended by the pharmacist which are normally issued on prescription.
